Live 8 2005

Yes, we won tickets for Live8 2005! Helen and I stayed over in London for the big event - this year seems to be a big year for gigs with Reading Festival tickets purchased and coming up in August. This was a really unexpected result and helped us celebrate our 20th Wedding anniversary, having missed much of the original Live Aid concert on June 13th 1985 as we were busy getting married on that day.

Ozfest 2005

We had our own Ozfest in the garden to celebrate Paul And Debbie's visit from Australia. Bands included Beyond Therapy, Conspiracy 89 and a duet from Luke and Hania. Helen and Ian's families were joined by band members and their families.

Spring 2004

Odds and ends from early in the year. Moors Valley and Paul's visit from Australia. What a change in weather from early sun followed by snow in March.

Spring 2005

Odds and ends from early 2005 including another trip to London with Helen's Mum. We also went to the West End to see Lee Evans in the Producers.

We've changed the layout of the albums from here and dropped the slideshow.

Australia 2003/2004

The latest album has pictures from our holiday in Australia over Christmas and New Year 2003/2004. Pictures begin in Perth and Western Australia, where we visited Helen's sister Irene and family. We then visited Ian's brother Paul, and other half Debbie, in Canberra and New South Wales. Final pictures were taken in Sydney.

We spent Christmas morning at the beach drinking strawberry Champagne!

Cornwall October 2003

We spent a long weekend in Cornwall in a rented cottage with Helen's Mum. The weather was fantastic for October - the end of a long hot summer. The rocks (Cheesewrings) and forest are at Bodmin Moor. The glass dome and exotic plants are the Eden Project.

Summer 2003

We didn't take a holiday in the summer as we had the builders in converting our loft into a bedroom. We did however go to see Robbie Williams in Concert at Knebworth. RW was supported by the Darkness, Kelly Osborne (ouch), Ash, and Moby. The concert was filmed as part of the Robbie Williams DVD "What we did last summer" and we were part of that 130,000 strong crowd.

There is also an album of a day out we had at Kimmeridge Bay and the ghost town of Tyneham. Don't take any notice of the dates on the pictures which for some strange reason show February 2001?!?

Final album in this section is the loft being converted at various stages, and the view from the scaffolding. We can see Salisbury Cathedral in one direction and Old Sarum in the other.

January / February / March 2003

Helen Celebrated her 40th birthday in January and her big surprise present was a trip Barcelona with Ian. The party was fantastic, but photo's were only taken towards the end of the evening as Ian lost the camera, oops!

Barcelona is an amazing city. Most of the photo's are of Gaudi architecture and city landmarks. We want to go back there!

I've tweaked a couple of images here - The first picture in the slideshow is the same as the image later on, but with the people removed and the perspective corrected (Have digicam, will play with Photoshop....).

In March, Paul and Debbie visited England from Canberra and we spent a day in London, highlight of which was a trip on the London Eye.

Summer 2002

For our summer holiday we took the car over to France and stayed in a caravan in Charante near Bordeaux. As well as pictures of the scenery, there are photos taken at Le grande parc du Puy du Fou. Check out the website!

The other album contains general pictures taken during the summer months at home and at Bournemouth and Moors Valley Country Park.

Last of all is an album of various photo's of friends and family, which aren't categorised in any of the above sections. We will keep adding to this section - look for another image altered with Photoshop.
